Discovering a low pool or hot tub level when you return home can leave you wondering how long the water has been escaping. The Leak Geeks helps owners in Newberry and the northern Lake Murray area locate hidden leaks and understand what needs repair.
Newberry, Prosperity and northern Lake Murray
Our coverage includes Newberry, Prosperity and communities on the north side of Lake Murray. Whether your pool is at a year-round home or a property you visit less often, tell us the location and access arrangements when scheduling. We travel from our West Columbia, SC base.
A $50 trip fee applies for locations more than about 40 miles from Columbia.
Water loss between visits
If you only see the pool occasionally, notes or photos of the water level can help establish a pattern. Record the dates and any refilling, rainfall or pool use you know about. These observations help frame the investigation, but a low level alone cannot tell us whether the leak is in a return line, a fitting or the pool shell.
We use pool leak testing to check suspected areas directly. Pressure testing helps assess plumbing, while dye testing and electronic listening can help pinpoint the source where appropriate. Testing comes before a recommendation to expose buried plumbing.
Leak checks for lakeside hot tubs and spas
A spa losing water under its cover can still have a leak at a jet, union, fitting or plumbing connection. We inspect the water-loss problem rather than assuming it is evaporation. For an attached spa, tell us whether its level changes while the pool equipment is off or running.
Our hot tub and spa leak detection service addresses leaks only. Heater, pump, control and cover repairs are not part of this service.
A practical plan after testing
We explain the identified leak and proposed repair so you can decide how to proceed. If you will not be at the property, discuss access and how to reach you before the appointment. Learn about our pool leak repairs before your visit.
